HOW TO SELL A PRODUCT? AND BECOME RICH IN OUR ECONOMY!
|
THE ARTICLE - In the capitalist world, we live in consumerism is what drives us, and if you want to be a successful producer you must be keen on what the consumer needs. If you want people to purchase your products; your goods or your services then it needs to be attractive to them. By attractive I mean unique. Imagine a bottle of sweat with a label that says sweat. That is not physically attractive but it will attract a consumer to that product, out of sheer curiosity. Due to it being unique. Would a bottle of water with no branding be as attractive to the consumer? Would it be as unique to the consumer as a bottle of sweat with branding? No, it wouldn't that plain bottle of water wouldn't sell because its branding isn’t there. It isn't thought-provoking, it isn't different, it isn't edgy. Have you ever thought overtime fashion trends change and the kids today would look at you crazy if you wore what kids in the 1950’s wore? Vice versa if kids in the 1950s (now adults) would look at you crazy for what the kids wear now. That is because it doesn't come down to what is appealing. Consumerism comes down to what is new, what is fab, what is in. A new level of uniqueness, and “keeping up with the joneses” is what is proven to drive consumerism. Ask yourself why is it trendy to wear fake bulletproof vests as fashion? And why was it trendy In the early 2000s to wear baggy clothes with jeans? Because every decade there's a new trend, and it's different and it's vibrant. People will either buy your product to avoid pain or loss, to deliver them pleasure, or to make their lives easier. People are more inclined to purchase your product if you make it appear as if they're getting a deal out of the transaction. If you make it appear as if they are the winner and you are the loser then they will purchase your good or your service. Life is a game of winners and losers and the consequences are life-changing it can make the difference between profit and loss. For example, let's say you are selling a bag of candy and you have 100 candies in that bag. Each that cost you $0.10 for a piece of candy. Therefore the true value of the bag is $10. The intrinsic value is what the consumer is willing to pay for it. What you can do; you can tell them “I'm giving you 50% off” and charge them $20. Tell the consumer the original price of the good was worth $40. If the consumer pays $40 the value of the bag of candy is now $40, and it was a just transaction which you profited 30$. It may be necessary to raise prices in times of scarcity. Price gouging during National emergencies is a perfect example of this. If the price of gas stays the same during a hurricane then one person with a lot of money would be able to buy all of the gasoline available. If the price of gas rises then there is more supply available to meet the demand due to higher prices everyone gets gas. THE MAIN IDEA- Here are some key tips to what you can do to sell any product - 1. Understand your audience. 2. Make a genuine connection. 3 Politicize them, don’t lie but over exaggerate your product like politicians. 4 Explain how your product will make there life easier.
